Her research exploring the influences of culture on the health behaviors of overweight and obese Black women in the New Orleans area has given her even more understanding of the challenges and struggles that women, especially those of color, experience with their health. As a resident of New Orleans, LA, a city known for its culture and cuisine, Dr. Ken knows, first-hand, what it is like to try to maintain healthy habits in the midst of unhealthy temptations.This is why creating spaces where she can encourage, motivate, and teach has always been her goal. And now, she has created a space where she can offer a range of health supplements and information that will aid in the prevention and management of obesity and chronic diseases, which is her primary goal.
